Earl Carter
Earl Carter is a Washington, DC based Guitarist, Bassist, and Saxophonist, whose multi-faceted talent, professionalism, and star-quality has officially sent him into the stratosphere of being “world-renowned”.
In the late 80’s and early 90’s, Earl secured his spot as a member of the platinum selling Go-Go band, EU; where he recorded music on the soundtrack to Spike Lee’s movie, Do The Right Thing, and so much more. As a result of those experiences, he began getting more into studio production work; producing music for artists to record, as well as co-producing dialogue recordings for such names as Les Brown, Willie Jolley, George Fraser (Author), and famous athletes Jawan Howard, and Nikki McCray.
Over the years, Earl has performed with many artists, local, national, and international. As a freelance musician, he has worked with Marcus Johnson, Alyson Williams, Bobby Lyle, Freddie Jackson, Angela Bofill, Regina Belle, Sy Smith, Bob Baldwin, Tony Terry, and a long list of others. He performs regularly at the legendary jazz club, Blues Alley and has performed for The National Smooth Jazz Awards (’02), The Bermuda Jazz Festival (’02 & ’03), The Ghana Jazz Festival (’03), and several other televised concerts and programs.
