The two-horn, bass and drums quartet will explore music from their debut recording, Rhombal, composed for Crump’s late brother, in addition to several newer works.
Rhombal features veteran explorer Ellery Eskelin on tenor saxophone engaging with brilliant young trumpeter Adam O’Farrill in the midst of the deep rhythm team chemistry Crump and Sorey have formed in collaboration for over a decade, primarily in Vijay Iyer’s ensembles. For this performance, the quartet welcomes back extraordinary drummer Kassa Overall....
