October 2017 will see the centenaries of two American legends -- the iconoclastic pianist and composer Thelonious Sphere Monk (October 10) and pioneering trumpeter and musical innovator John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie (October 21).  Seth and Sean have put together an all-star group of musicians, including Florida-based trumpet virtuoso Gordon Russell and globe-trotting world music percussionist Tom Teasley, so commemorate the music of these two musical architects.  Their most famous compositions, as well as some obscure gems, will be highlighted, along with brief historical commentary to provide a context for this timeless music....
